Routine cleaning maintains a level. It does not raise one. If a building has been under a weak program for two years, the nightly visit is holding a line that was drawn in the wrong place, and no amount of repetition moves it.
A deep clean redraws it. Everything above eye level and below knee level gets addressed, the surfaces that never appear on a nightly list get cleaned, and the building comes back to a standard the routine visits can actually hold. Nearly every account we take starts here, because maintaining a bad baseline is just paying to preserve a problem.
What the visit covers
- High dusting: vents, diffusers, sprinkler heads, ledges and pipework
- Light fixtures and lens covers wiped, insects and dust removed
- Baseboards, door frames, casings and kick plates cleaned wet
- Interior glass, partitions, sidelights and window tracks
- Walls spot cleaned, marks and scuffs removed where the finish allows
- Furniture cleaned including undersides, bases and chair legs
- Appliance interiors, cabinet interiors and shelving
- Behind and beneath furniture that never moves on a normal visit
- Restrooms taken back to the grout and the fixture base
- Floors scrubbed or extracted as the surface requires
When it is worth doing and when it is not
A deep clean is worth paying for at four moments: taking over from another company, coming out of winter, preparing for an inspection or an important visit, and after any construction or renovation work. Outside those, a well run routine program should keep the building where it is.
We will say so if we do not think you need one. A recommendation to spend nothing is the cheapest way we know to earn the account that follows it.
About deep cleaning

How long does it take?
It depends entirely on square footage and condition. A ten person office is usually one long night. A school wing or a two floor clinic is a weekend. You get the hours and the crew size in the quote so there is no ambiguity.
Do you do this before a new contract starts?
Almost always, and it is quoted separately from the recurring program so you can see both numbers clearly. It also gives us a real baseline to write your scope against.
Can it be done during business hours?
Parts of it. High dusting and floor work need the space empty, so most deep cleans run on a weekend or overnight while the building is closed.
